Are you ready to attract only the Ideal Clients?

Let’s imagine that your business is like a "lighthouse" standing strong and tall on the rocky shore of a beautiful harbor. The water is calm, the sky is blue, and many boats are out at sea. But off in the distance a storm cloud is forming. It approaches the shore very quickly.


The sky is getting darker, the waves are getting rougher, and many of the boats are being tossed about on the water. As the rain and the wind pick up strength, the power of the beam of light emanating from the lighthouse increases. The darker the skies become, the brighter the light shines to provide safety and security in the midst of the storm.

Notice that not all of the boats need this beam of light to guide them to safety. Some have more confident captains and crews, and some are fully equipped to manage through storms safely and effectively. Now imagine that the lighthouse gets upset because some of the boats are choosing to follow their own path.

The lighthouse feels that it is not successful if its light is not guiding all of the boats in the sea. It sprouts arms and legs and runs up and down the beach acting like a searchlight, doing its best to catch the attention of all the boat captains, attempting to encourage more of them to depend on its light.

What do you think would be the result?

How often are you operating like lighthouses standing securely on the shore attracting the clients that need your business with your light?   How often do you run up and down the beach frantically looking for clients to serve?

  • It's NOT because your law firm is small (yet)
  • It's NOT even because all that time, money and energy you've already poured into marketing isn't working.  (Surprised?  I was too.)

Doesn't that sound sooooo much easier (and yummier and much more FUN) than trying to squish yourself into someone else's "blueprint" or channel your inner used car salesman to try to convince people to hire you?

Now you might be thinking, "Hey, I'm already doing that!"... especially if you're networking, Tweeting, Facebooking, LinkedIn-ing, and spending lots of time in giving free consultations that don't result in paying clients.

If that's you, I hear you.  BUT there's a BIG difference between doing all the "stuff" and doing exactly what you need (and no more) to create a deep desire in the right people to say YES to what you offer... on the spot.

You see...

It's not your fault if you're doing everything you're "supposed" to do and STILL the clients haven't shown up yet.  Here's why...

Please understand that your Ideal Client is a version of you. She wants what you want. He believes what you believe. She feels what you feel. So if you discard your desires, your heart, your energy and simply choose your ideal client from your head because you think you should, or someone told you to focus on a specific group or you believe that only a certain type of person can pay … you have limited your possibilities and just made client connections very hard for yourself.

And if you are caught up in low level energy like doubt and worry your energy is scattered by thinking,“Oh, I’ll just work with anyone …” Or more desperately by thinking “PLEASE – just send me ANYONE!” or even worse, choosing your “target market” from a calculated place of “this is the person I SHOULD work with.”

This will leave you feeling frustrated, hiding behind your computer and without any clients.

We all know – you know, I know – you have a purpose; you’ve been called to this business on purpose, you’ve been called to this business for a reason.  There is something – a gift, a talent – that is meant to move through you to create a powerful, positive impact for those that you have a sacred contract with, those who you are here to serve.  Instead of all that nonsense of believing we can serve anyone and everyone and setting up mis-aligned client relationships, you want ease with knowing exactly who you are meant to serve.

You want to be so clear about who your ideal client is that when they see you and you see them, when they feel you and you feel them, bam!  Magnetic attraction!

And then, speaking to prospects becomes smooth, easy and – believe it or not – fun.  Your client attraction clarity becomes the undercurrent for all of your marketing and selling.

  • Then your copywriting is effective
  • Your website works
  • You leave networking events with contacts to follow up with
  • Selling is as easy as a conversation with a good friend
  • You’re able to experience more service, more purpose, more profits, and you’re able to feel more empowered.
